Called to Full Communion–The Waterloo Declaration

NC-01-33 MS That the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada adopt and implement the Waterloo Declaration (Appendix 13 of the Bulletin of Reports).

CARRIED

Bishop Schultz raised a point of privilege on the floor to honour Rev Alvin Miller, a member of the Joint Working Group who was unable to be at the convention due to illness.

NC-01-34 MS That the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada in convention thank the Anglican Lutheran Joint Working Group and endorse the establishment of a joint commission to oversee the relationship of full communion.

CARRIED

NC-01-35 MS As a part of our commitment in the Waterloo Declaration to nurture our growth in communion, that the Evangelical Declaration of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada be held up through the Joint Commission as an expression of who we are and what we bring to our continuing covenant relationship with the Anglican Church of Canada.

Report of the Committee on Elections

The nominating ballot for the position of the Vice–President of the ELCIC was distributed.

The Chair declared balloting for the position for Vice–President closed.

The Chair recessed the session for delegates to attend the forums.
