A capacity crowd of 200 attended the Mission in the World (MW) lunch on Friday at the Convention.
"Today, we will highlight one aspect of our Mission in the World, the Companion Synod Program," said the Program Coordinator, Kelvin Krieger. "We will hear about the recent visit to the Saskatchwan Synod by a visitor from Argentina and we will share the experiences of a visitor from the MNO Synod to Cameroon in April. These presentations will give us a sense of the giving and receiving and the mutual sharing that is characteristic of our world mission program today."
Kelvin explained that a full report on the Mission in the World program during the last two years is in the Convention Bulletin of Reports. He also provided copies of the latest Directed Giving report and expressed appreciation for the $37.000 increase in contributions in 2004.
