Instructions

Make a card for each family group with the following instructions. For each group, put together a box of materials and tools to use to complete their projects. Cut three yellow circle shapes for each group to use to record their experience.

Group 1: Christian Service Project

There are 3 items listed here for you to do. You will have approximately 15 minutes. Have Fun!!!

1. Your Family group has chosen to do an intentional Christian Service Project.

   You have decided to prepare a "Gift Bag of Blessings" to be given to someone at the beginning of the lunch break today.

   In the box you will find all the supplies you will need.

2. As you work, think about the following questions. Write short answers on the yellow circle shapes.

   1. What is the goal of your Christian Service Project?
   2. How do you (did you) feel as you worked on the project?
   3. How would you feel if you were to receive the project?
      

3. Decide how to present this gift at the beginning of the lunch break. The lucky recipient is of your choosing (someone who has the same birthday as you or someone who has come the farthest distance or …)
   

Group 2: Christian Service Project

There are 3 items listed here for you to do. You will have approximately 15 minutes. Have Fun!!!

1. Your Family group has chosen to do an intentional Christian Service Project.

   You have decided to scribe and decorate "Thank You Certificates" in appreciation of the time and commitment to Family Ministry of those who helped organize today's event.

   In the box you will find all the supplies you will need and a list of the people for whom to make certificates.

2. As you work, think about the following questions. Write short answers on the yellow circle shapes.

   1. What is the goal of your Christian Service Project?
   2. How do you (did you) feel as you worked on the project?
   3. How would you feel if you were to receive the project?
      

3. Decide how to present the completed certificates at the beginning of the lunch break.
   

Group 3: Christian Service Project

There are 3 items listed here for you to do. You will have approximately 15 minutes. Have Fun!!!

1. Your Family group has chosen to do an intentional Christian Service Project.

   You have decided to make a banner and present it to a representative of our host congregation as a reminder of and a thank you for today's event.

   In the box you will find all the supplies you will need. The theme of the banner is your choice.

2. As you work, think about the following questions. Write short answers on the yellow circle shapes.

   1. What is the goal of your Christian Service Project?
   2. How do you (did you) feel as you worked on the project?
   3. How would you feel if you were to receive the project?
      

3. Decide how to present the completed banner to a representative of our host congregation at the beginning of the lunch break.
