This year’s stewardship thematic materials from the Ecumenical Stewardship Centre are based on 1 Corinthians 16:1-4, Saints Alive! Living Generously.

Congregations should have received a sample package of materials earlier in 2011 so they have plenty of time to place their order if they are considering starting a fall 2011 stewardship program. The following items were included in the sample package:

• A copy of Giving magazine with resources on estate planning, the power of story, a pull-out resource with a four-week stewardship emphasis plan and even offertory invitations to use during your congregation's worship services.
• A poster highlighting this year's theme for you to display in your congregation.
• Bulletin covers based on this year's theme.
• Time and Talent Form - including a version for youth and children.
• Commitment card sample.

Conversation on Gratitude and Generosity

Developed by the National Office, this "conversation starter" will help you explore your experience of gratitude and generosity, and become more comfortable sharing this aspect of our faith. Resources for this are minimal, just two people (can even be done individually as a personal reflection) and approximately 30 minutes to devote to the discussion. Use this in your congregation, your Bible study group, or even for your own family's personal stewardship development.

2011/2012 Annual Report Covers
Every year the ELCIC produces Annual Report Covers that can be used by any ELCIC congregation or ministry as a cover to your annual report. Included on the Annual Report Covers are devotions to open and close your annual meeting.

Annual Report Covers for 2011/2012 will be mailed out to all congregations that requested covers before the fall 2011 deadline mid-November. If you haven't ordered your covers yet, do check with the National Office (orders@elcic.ca) to see if there are extra available.

An electronic copy of the covers is available for download if your congregation wishes to make its own copies.

A Note Regarding Voluntary Contribution
While there is no charge to congregations for these resources, you are encouraged to consider a donation towards the cost of shipping and handling (at least $30 for each shipment). If you are ordering materials for more than 200 members, please consider increasing your contribution proportionately.
