Elna Mae Mathiasen, 79, died on Feb. 13. In partnership with husband Rev. Peter Mattiasen, she served in mission from 1958 in Brazil, and in Ontario, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba upon returning to Canada in 1975. She realized a life-long ambition of working in the health field by obtaining her diploma as a health records administrator, working in Ottawa and Winnipeg until her retirement to BC in 1997.
