Church leaders welcome temporary ceasefire between Israel and Hamas
Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada’s National Bishop Rev. Susan C. Johnson joins church leaders The Most Rev. Anne Germond, Acting Primate of The Anglican Church of Canada; The Rev. Dr. Patricia Dutcher-Walls, Moderator of The Presbyterian Church in Canada; and The Right Rev. Dr. Carmen Lansdowne, Moderator of The United Church of Canada in a joint letter welcoming the January 19, 2025 temporary ceasefire between Israel and Hamas. In this joint letter, church leaders also invite members of their respective churches to join in praying, hearing, learning, speaking out, and advocating.
