The Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada’s National Church Council (NCC) consists of the officers (National Bishop, vice-chair, secretary, treasurer), five rostered members (one from each synod), five laypersons (one from each synod), one layperson at large from the synod with the most baptized members. There is one additional member appointed by the Council of General Synod of the Anglican Church of Canada. ELCIC Synod Bishops serve as advisory members to NCC.
