Canadian Lutheran Anglican Youth (CLAY) Gathering

Every two years, the ELCIC and the Anglican Church of Canada host a national gathering of youth and their leaders.

2022/23: Ashes & Embers

After talking to church leaders, youth groups, and parents, the planning committee for CLAY has heard a lot of uncertainty around gathering in 2022. As a result, the planning committee has announced that the 2022 CLAY gathering will be postponed until August 2023.

This will give time for youth groups to reconnect, for leaders to get the rest they need, and for the planning team to organize a gathering that is meaningful, impactful, and safe experience for all. Please watch the announcement when you click here.

2020/21: An Online #EnRoute Experience

Due to the ongoing uncertainty of the global pandemic and after postponing CLAY 2020 until 2021, the difficult decision has been made for CLAY 2021 to be hosted as an online event.

Our National Planning Committee is committed to making this CLAY the absolute best it can be! It will be a gathering of hundreds of Anglican and Lutheran youth happening at the same time across the country in an online platform.

There will be three hours of group gathering time each day featuring: worship, workshops, and a large group gathering with the CLAY band, drama team, and our keynote speaker, Melanie Delva.

There will also be Late Night Spots every day (a CLAY participant favourite) + activities engaging with our National Youth Project happening outside of the group gathering times.

Home Teams will be encouraged to gather in-person if it is safe to do so; in accordance with local public health guidelines or participate online as a group.
