Installation of Bishop-elect Larry Kochendorfer

You are invited to attend the installation service for Rev. Dr. Larry Kochendorfer, Bishop-elect of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada at 4:00 PM (CDT) on Saturday, September 27 at Faith Lutheran Church in Winnipeg. A light reception will follow the formal service.

We invite you to take part – whether in-person or online, and to share this invitation in your congregation’s bulletin, print it out for your information boards, and help spread the word of the ELCIC’s first National Bishop installation service in 18 years.

On July 12, 2025, delegates to the 2025 ELCIC National Convention voted Rev. Dr. Larry Kochendorfer to be the fifth National Bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada. The Bishop-elect formally began the position on September 1, with the installation taking place September 27.
